Amber was born into the Jehovah’s Witnesses.  At age 19 she was dis-fellowshipped and shunned, but re-instated to good standing at 22.  Her husband always had an unsettled feeling about the religion and was never baptized, but he still supported his wife and participated.  There were many things that bothered Amber about the religion such as the culture of shunning, but it never got to the point of serious questioning.  The way the JW church handled the 2020 pandemic for 2 years finally opened Amber’s eyes to the cult-like behavior of the organization.  After 37 years she left for good.  With encouragement from her husband she began building a real relationship with Jesus and discovered His salvation through grace instead of works.  Amber’s testimony is a powerful example of how “the tradition of men” Jesus warned about in Mark 7:8 can become such a barrier between a person and the saving grace of Jesus and God.  Thank you to Amber for having the courage to speak out.  Your testimony has great power.  If Jesus has changed your life and you’d like to tell your story, please e-mail me at 100FoldTestimonies@gmail.com
