That's from Mark 1, verses 14 and 15. This is Dave Scherrer. And we've been exploring this verse for a while now here. We are well on our way, I think, after these several podcasts, towards answering the essay question that I floated some weeks ago.
More Kingdom Offerings
Our acts of kindness, done in the name of Jesus, with the purpose of serving and blessing others also serve to lay aside treasures in heaven that glorify and exalt our King. This constitutes the kingdom coming on earth as it is in heaven - we become the answer to the Lord’s prayer.
God's economy of spiritual profit, which He's interested in, is not based on anything that has a worldly value associated with it.
