Understanding the Gospel of the Kingdom

December 15, 2024·2 min read·Dave Scherrer

What exactly is the Gospel of the Kingdom, and why does it matter for believers today? Exploring the central message of Jesus' ministry.

How strange it is that so many who believe in the soul-saving power and love of Jesus Christ have such a hard time describing or even defining what, as Jesus put it, the Gospel of the Kingdom is exactly.

At 100-Fold, we believe that in this seldom explored doctrine of profound good news is the transforming power, peace and purpose that has been set aside for each believer in Jesus Christ from the foundation of creation.

The Question Every Believer Must Ask

It is the answer to the questions, "Why exactly was I saved? Saved from what and to what? Have I been plucked from a fire only to sit and simply enjoy my flame-free status?"

"Or is there more...?"

The Gospel of the Kingdom was the central message of Jesus' ministry on earth. It was the compelling motivation of the disciples, the heartbeat of the apostle Paul, and the promise echoed throughout both the Old and New Testaments.

Yet today, this Gospel is often misunderstood, neglected, or uncelebrated.

A Savior and a King

The truth is that I have searched all my life for a Savior and come to find out... I happily have found a King as well! And the good news is that I now serve him and His Kingdom purposes. It was to this end that I was made—to be a Kingdom Citizen serving the King of Kings!

But not just a mere citizen... A Child of the Most-High! With all the power and wealth... and responsibilities... that comes with this new royal status.

The Promise

The hope is manifold. The power and peace made available is palpable. The implications are staggering!

Come engage the Kingdom with me and experience a transformed and re-purposed Christian experience!
